gah! diva. or just sick.

Well, it figures -- Clem, after her movie debut, is not doing great. I've been reading up on betta fishies in the past few weeks, and one thing I've noticed is that they apparently prefer their water temperature to be something near 80 degrees. Those of you joining me this winter in the northeast know that it ain't no stinkin' 80 degrees up here right now.

I have kept her bowl next to the other fish in hopes that the warm temperatures from their water (now maintained at a balmy 76 degrees, or so it claims on the package) would help her, but it seems the stress of the temperature has gotten to her. Clem has developed some kind of fungus.


It's weirdly attached just to the end of her whiskers, but it's super-gross regardless and I'm going to be doing my best to keep her water fresh and to add some aquarium salt to her bowl. Fingers crossed she'll make a comeback! Otherwise, my movie empire might dissolve before it even gets off the ground.

I mean, let's face it -- these jokers can't be featured in a motion picture.
